Music fans looking for something to do this summer might be wise to book a UK holiday to coincide with one of their favourite festivals.
UK Music and VisitBritain have teamed up to unveil a comprehensive map of the country's events, showing more than 500 festivals in total.
The shows will entertain about 7.7 million people and add £864 million to the nation's economy, emphasising their importance to a great number of individuals.
Jo Dipple, chief executive of UK Music, said: "The music industry makes a huge contribution to the economy and tourism, and I am glad this is recognised."
Among the most acclaimed festivals on the calendar are Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, T in the Park and End of the Road.
People who book holidays in Devon, Sussex or Yorkshire could be just a few of those who are handily placed to attend the venues and enjoy the top-quality music on offer.
